Snooper MY-SPEED has been replaced by the Snooper MY-SPEED XL Gen2.
The Snooper MY-SPEED XL G2 (pictured below) features an impressive 5-inch display screen. Alerts to speed cameras and road speed limits across the UK and Western Europe.
Snooper MY-SPEED explained
The Snooper MY-SPEED as standard isn't a speed camera detector, though you can subscribe and download to the optional AURA speed camera database. Instead the MY-SPEED is an in-car device that provides the speed limits for all roads across Western Europe. The MY-SPEED speed limits are powered by NAVTEQs data and is updated once a year and available at a cost of £10.00 a year.
Snooper MY-SPEED alerts
Featuring a 1.66-inch TFT colour display the Snooper MY-SPEED constantly displays your speed and that of the speed limit for the road you're driving on. To make it clearer when you inadvertently stray over the speed limit the units screen changes from green to red. In addition the MY-SPEED also provide an audible tone alert.
Snooper AURA speed camera database
You may just require speed limits which is fine and what the MY-SPEED is geared up to deliver. However it is also possible to subscribe to the optional AURA speed camera database and provide alerts to speed traps in addition to speed limits.
Also available is the Snooper MY-SPEED AURA which includes both the NAVTEQ speed limit database and AURA speed camera database. This product is available to buy from SpeedCamerasUK.com and currently includes FREE lifetime speed camera updates.
Countries included in the AURA database are: UK and Ireland, Germany, Holland, Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Luxembourg, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Romania, Russia, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa.
Updated daily, the AURA database can be downloaded to the MY-SPEED via a PC connected to the Internet with USB connection. The AURA database is available via subscription from the manufacturer and priced at £69.99 a year.
The NAVTEQ speed limit database is charged at £10.00 a year.

Snooper My Speed software requirements:
The My Speed will only operate on Windows computers. Specifically, you must be using Windows XP (32 bit), Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 or Windows 2000. Additionally the software will only work with Internet Explorer 6 or Netscape Navigator 6 or above.
The Snooper My Speed will not operate when using Windows XP (64 bit) or Apple Macintosh operating systems.

Snooper MY SPEED Questions and Answers
Question: I own a "My Speed" dectector and use Apple Mac computer how can I update the dectector? Do I need to upgrade as I don't have access to a PC?
Answer: The discontinued Snooper "My Speed" detector is NOT compatible with Apple Mac computers. You will therefore need to seek out a Windows based PC in order to carry out an update.
