Welcome to the speed camera database for Edinburgh and Lothians - included in the database are the fixed and mobile speed camera locations across Edinburgh, Mid Lothian, East Lothian and West Lothian.
All of the speed trap locations below have been sent into us by motorists. If you know of a speed camera location that doesn't appear below, please click here to report it.
As well as adding new safety camera locations to Edinburgh and the Lothians database you can also update, add andamend the details to current locations. To do this, simply click the 'Update location' link foundbelow in each individual location page e.g. SCL009.
Scotland’s first urban average speed camera goes live on Monday (4th September) in Edinburgh and help enforce a 30mph speed limit. The new speed cameras cover a one-mile section of the A7 Old Dalkeith Road, south of the Cameron Toll roundabout. The average speed cameras operate in both directions, measuring speeds between the Western Toyota garage, just south of the roundabout, and a point between Walter Scott Avenue and Kingston Avenue.
