Snooper Tigre alternative purchases
Please note the Snooper Tigre is no longer available, however the Snooper 3ZERO and Pantera (compared below) are both available.
The Snooper Tigre isn't the only speed camera detector available to buy and use in the UK. Below you can read comparisons with two alternative speed trap locators the Snooper 3ZERO and Snooper Pantera. To read the latest speed camera detector reviews click here.
Snooper 3ZERO
The Snooper 3ZERO like the Snooper Tigre utilises radar and laser detection to warn of fixed and mobile laser and radar based safety cameras.
The Snooper 3ZERO however unlike the Snooper Tigre also includes a GPS speed camera database. The plus side is that with a GPS camera database the 3ZERO will provide alerts to Truvelo or SPECS speed cameras. This is because the Tigre relies soley on the detection of radar and laser bands, which are only emitted by (working) Gatso fixed cameras and Police handheld radar and laser guns.
The Snooper Tigre being purely a radar and laser detector doesn't require any subscription. Whilst Snooper 3ZERO GPS speed camera updates are priced at either £2.99 a month, £7.99 a quarter or £29.99 a year.

Snooper Pantera
The Snooper Pantera offers completely the opposite technology to the Snooper Tigre. Whereas the Snooper Pantera is a GPS only speed camera detector. The Snooper Tigre utilises radar and laser detection only to warn of fixed and mobile based safety cameras.
The plus side is that the Snooper Tigre doesn't require any subscription charges. The downside is that without a GPS camera database the Snooper Tigre won't provide alerts to Truvelo or SPECS (average) speed cameras. This is because the Snooper Tigre relies soley on the detection of Radar and Laser bands, which are only emitted by (working) Gatso fixed cameras and Police handheld radar and laser guns. The Snooper Tigre being purely a Radar and Laser detector doesn't require any subscription. The Snooper Pantera GPS speed camera updates are priced at either £2.99 a month, £7.99 a quarter or £29.99 a year.
