Southwick tunnel at the eastern end has new cameras located in both sides of the tunnel. They are mounted on the right hand central wall on both sides approx. 10-15ft in from the opening, and consist of two cameras - one facing in either direction, mounted approx. 2/3's up the wall, both have a small bright red light on the mounting plate and new signs have appeared warning of speed cameras. They are very subtle and fairly easy to miss as your eyes adjust to the light difference both exiting and entering the tunnel. The official speed limit for this stretch of road is 70mph but this is a stretch of road that can be driven at speed.
